This gorgeous book is split into four parts;mindheartrestawakeMind explores depression and trauma, expressing the feelings we're all too scared to allow ourselves to feel. This book is divided into 4 parts - Mind, Heart, Rest and Awake. If you're there. But can we rush art?

Anjutha Ranganathan

❤️ Her poems on ‘productivity guilt’ and the importance of taking rest, maintaining relationships are refreshing to hear in this ‘hustle’ culture.

. ‘if you want to be creative you need to learn how to do stuff that has no purpose art isn’t made by working all the time first you’ve got to go out and live’ - the art will come I guess we need to stop glamorising overworking.

And that’s exactly why poetry is so important in our society today. ‘the love of family friends and community is just as potent as the love of a romantic relationship’ The second part of this section talks about how beautifully the author recovered and stands strong in the face of adversity. It is evident that Rupi wrote this book during pandemic times. 3million followers and is referred as the ‘queen of Insta poets’.

A Rupi Kaur Fan

Happiness, pride, love and even sadness. As an artist, she must have experienced the same emotions of helplessness and uncertainty. As we are a work in progress till our last breath, it is important to embrace ourselves and to keep evolving till one reaches their highest self. The beauty of rupi's writing never fails to overwhelm me with love.

This book is what a beautiful poetry book is all about. ! -productivity anxietyI was so damn excited for Rupi Kaur's third beauty. To me, ‘milk and honey’ was her teenage years, ‘the sun and her flowers’ was her becoming a young adult, and ‘home body’ is her transformation into adulthood.

Being an author myself, I can see the hardwork and planning Kaur has put in, dividing & compiling this book beautifully. And it's all incredibly beautiful.
