Reviews

S. Rifflart

One very happy customer. I like to quickly lay in areas of colour, then blend using a stump, successively adding smaller and smaller colour blocks, until I use the pencils points to add unblended details.

As another reviewer observes, the magnetic protruberances at either end make it difficult to remove the end pencils; you have to take out the adjoining pencil first. These were excellent I also use two dark browns from the caran dache range because they are very pigmented and rich but also crumbly.

Did a gread job. I liked the colour selection; though it's tempting to purchase a set containing as many colours as they make, I find it's better to have a slightly limited selection. More than 24 isn't absolutely necessary in my opinion; the more pencils you have, the more shades you have to rifle through, but it might be helpful for a beginner who isn't experienced with blending coloursSome advice if you're new to pastels: Because they are very soft, they are easy to smudge and can fade so I'd recommend finding a workable fixative to build up layers - but this is advice which applies to all pastel-type media.

Delivered faultlessly. So far I'm having fun using these and I'd recommend them to beginners and professionals alike. I do like stuff in nice, wooden boxes, and this is a well-made if not altogether well-designed example. the delivery so quick, packaging was very clean and cares for.
