It is also a really good entry sipping rum - of course it won't compete with £40/50 bottles but as a more 'regular' sipping rum you can't deny that it's pretty smooth for the price, great with a cube of ice, a really good mix of smoothness and depth - it is actually our go to rum these days. Now for the packaging, having read previous reviews I was annoyed at one star rating as the packaging wasn't what was expected - that's not a review of the rum! This is a very good quality mixing room and worthy of 5 stars - especially when at £20 on offer. 5 rum.

OK - this review is for the rum, not the packaging (which I'll come to later). But - as a sipping rum, it has to be 4 stars, it simply can't compete with the complexity of flavour and depth you pay over double the price for - truth be told, this is a 4. However, our first 3 bottles did come tinned so n issue - bottle number 4 (yet to open 5-8) didn't - I'll be honest, it did annoy me - we want this for us so no issue but having experienced the lack of presentation case I do feel sympathy for previous reviewers - we don't plan to give as a gift but if we did there's a massive difference in quality between plain old bottle and lovely presentation box - we kept our earlier boxes so should the need arise we can drop one in but Amazon, who I adore, should, and could do better.
