I think it gives you a more rounded idea of the midwife as a person to see a clearer picture. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Well written easy to immerse yourself into and hopefully there will be a second book some day? There are stories of actual birthing situations and the training, as well as situations that come up I hadn’t even considered.
Information about the midwifes life and how this career choice can effect it is also included.
