Despite the assembly challenges, I trust that my hamster will enjoy its new home. I've never seen the boys looking so happy, they love to run around all the levels exploring and there was also room for me to put their little wooden house in the bottom so they can snuggle together in it to sleep.

45pm 2020). There is ample room for my 2 boys to roam around. It is perfect for my dwarf hamster (Lil’ Biskit), as he started to show signs of boredom in his smaller cage(left). One standout feature that I adore is the little bed at the top of the cage.

So we cannot fault the item itself . Can add a decent amount of sawdust for hamsters to dig in on the bottom as well as add things like a sand bath and other treats/furniture. The one on the right is the one I recently bought and the one on the left was the old hamster cage I had but from the same company.

This took me less than 10 minutes to put together. However, I ended up adopting a pair of Russian hamsters from the pet shop’s adoption programme who needed a forever home. We now have to send this cage back to Amazon and need to order another one.

The only cons I came across were how fragile the ladder connectors were on the plastic panels as I accidentally snapped one off while trying to snap on a ladder to it. but not just yet. They couldn’t get up most of the ramps supplied as they’re too little, despite fiddling around with the floor positions.

I bought this cage and put it together in readiness to pick up a baby Syrian from the pet shop (in my experience, the Rotastak/Habitrails are too small for them and are very expensive! The instructions weren't as clear as I would have liked, and it took longer than expected to put together. The wheel that comes with it does start to squeak something crazy after a night but again, took advice from reviews and lubricated it with some vegetable oil and it’s been fine.
