) It's one of the best psychological thriller/horror novel I ever read! Richard Chizmar did a good job of creating a fictional story like it was a true crime story.

I’m all about a meta book and this had Rich set as the main character in his small town. It’s so darn believable I thought I was reading actual accounts of events! There's definite edge-of-your-seat horror here, within the atrocities of the serial killer and the sidereal effects of those murders on the community, but also warmth, humor, and a love for family, friends, and life - unexpected, but it flows throughout the book. It really reads as a true crime novel which makes it all the more impressive.

It is a superbly entertaining read, to say the least. I love horror and true crime and have a special fondness for small town settings because that’s how I grew up.

I didn’t feel like police would really reveal those kind of details especially to someone who drives around and acts kind of suspicious like he could’ve been the killer. Sadly the book came with huge creases and other damage to the dust jacket.

The book was great unfortunately the delivery was not so good. I don't know how to express how much I enjoyed this book. This is an exceptional book and it really blew me away.

Police believe there is a serial killer loose and could very well be local. The family dynamic was awesome (and probably very real) and I feel kind of weird saying I liked the characters of his parents because they were most likely not all character!
