The DVDs play in 'Power DVD'. I read another review stating that someone had changed the settings on their laptop and they worked great, so I took that chance.
He regularly talks about the videos with people and lends them out to friends. I was given a six week delivery window, and the DVDs arrived at my post office in about three weeks.
So for his birthday this year, I ordered 'Tudor Monastery Farm' and 'The Complete Wartime Farm'. Well worth buying! They are playing GREAT on our old laptop, which is where we view most of our DVDS. At the time of ordering, I was not sure if they would be able to play on our devices since DVD formatting is different between the UK and US/Canada.
Both my husband and I are happy to have these videos in our collection. He has about worn those DVDs out with the amount of times he has watched them.
I am not technical enough to tell you why it is that way. We didn't have to change any settings for these DVDs to play. I was impressed.
Good news! Oh, and these DVDs came in half the time I anticipated. Many years ago my husband saw Victorian Farm on the television, and then his mother gave him a boxed set of DVDS (Vic Farm, Vic Christmas, Vic Pharmacy, Edwardian Farm, & Tales from the Green Valley). If it helps anyone, our laptop is relatively 'old', running with Windows XP.
