Look no further! All you need to do is cut the refill of the Z-Grip into the same length as the F701 refill. The action of the retractable point is smooth, but not quite "crisp", a small matter. Very premium writing experience .

The pen is NOT all metal. It's likely not a good choice for hand writing a long letter to grandma, hours of working on that killer manuscript, or letting that very special "John" know how "Dear" he is. I'm very impressed with this pen. Here's some random observations, and an improvement I made.

Overall, this pen is a beast and will continue to be a part of my EDC. Nothing to complain so far. UPDATE: While messing around, found out the plunger actually works as a stylus for smart phones. I mainly used gel pens but hates the fact that they smear.

Fine, sharp knurl around the area where your fingers naturally fall, near the writing end of the pen. It's a true joy to write with. Every single day, I'd break a pen and I needed something better. There probably is a consideration here.
