Bought as a gift. But I guess that's due to the packaging itself It comes with the two AA batteries that it needs to function.

Unless you have 20/20 hearing it’s really not very fun when you have to hold it up to your ears to hear it Kinda cheaply made, doesn't always work. Came with batteries in it and lights bright.

It’s not loud at all. It has four slots where the sound comes out of. It is not as big as I thought it would be but it works perfectly.
