The overall width is just right for the mattress and doesn't need to be folded over the edges. I'll use the medium heat to get it warmed up faster and then have low heat. I got this delivered today, so this is just my initial impression. I only use on number 1 to remove the chill and it costs a total of 6p to run overnight for 8 full hours at 25w per hour.

Anyway, it's nice and warm. This product is almost perfect, great heat output on a choice of 3 settings. Fits nicely on my super king bed, only issue is the heat connectors stick slightly too far into the bed and can be uncomfortable when trying to sleep. 5p.

Otherwise does the job of warming the bed perfectly. Easy to use and heats up nicely. Setting two is 50w so double the cost.

You are supposed to place it with the switch by the pillow, however my bed is the wrong way around for it, the plug socket is to the left side of bed. Setting 3 is 100w but you wouldn’t want to sleep on setting 3 way too hot. I don’t know where other blankets have the disc, but, looking at this one’s reviews, the placement seems a particular problem.

As you can see, there is also that attachment, which would have dug into my shoulder. I have another on the wall opposite the bottom of the bed which worked better for me, so I use it with the switch at the footside. It has even taken the skin off through the sheet. we found it best to turn it around and put them closer to the feet end of the bed so they are not on your arms/shoulders when trying to sleep

All works well, however, the electric plastic connector that is secured to the blanket is rather proud and too far 'over' on the blanket. I'm glad I got it as my toes were going purple and hurt a lot. The initial warm up is usually enough to turn it off.
