The characters, Lincoln and Dakota, grew so much over the course of this book. I love the fact cinnamon rolls played such a huge part throughout this book! One thing I have to say!

However, the messy events in their lives just seem to tangle them together, from the war buddy living it hard, and the ex who left Dakota at the altar for a dream. I appreciate how the story takes time and because of the time the relationship is pure 🔥 by the time they start getting together. Lincoln had to grow on me before I liked him at first he was a bit of a jerk.

I really liked how things didn’t just happen immediately, as in it took time for them to become what they ended with. Now they have to work together, or she's unemployed and he will get in trouble. The loser starting to lingering around like a bad odour that just won't make like Febreze and smell ya later. I lately it seems like every contemporary romance I read they make up so easily in the end.

By far one of the best contemporary romances I’ve read in a while. ) Forgiveness takes time and this book showed it because even after they were together again it still took time before she knew he wasn’t going to go anywhere ever again. Dakota is such a sassy character and I love her! But with this book it took time for them to get to the point that they were able to get together again (About a month so not a super long period.
