Well there is plenty written similar to what I am about to tell you. I initially used a temporary bolt with a cross head (obviously not secure. Bought these for our up and over door.

You have to bash it with a hammer to make secure and stop spinning! Just you have to twist the key in the opposite direction to open or lock.

The other problem I found is because of the side frame of the door needs to line up with the locking bolt; mine didn't if fitted right against the flat door so I needed to use washers as spacers. Including over double the price for the lock! They tell you the size drill bits to buy and the best way to fit. You need a good range of drill sizes to fit these securely , will take about an hour if you have all the right tools.

so I fitted cover metal strips to outside, pot riveted to the door to prevent attack of the bolt. If they were the job would be easier. Supplier can't supply parts only new lock!

Pretty easy to fit with good drill and drill bits as the door we have was quite thick. You will be drilling 14x holes in total! So I now have two sets fitted! A valuable addition and I would recommend.

UPDATE Mar 22! I did this on the second one but on the first, made a mistake lining it up so couldn't use the brass housing for it. Overall very happy and seem well designed strong locks.

Nevertheless, really good quality, sharp keys, 3 of them and very pleased with a bit of extra security on an easy break in point for a t leaf. There are also some good vids on You Tube with some tips how to fit if you need that! That way it will be perfect. Then coach bolts provided had a nylon locking nut which frankly would lock too early and spin the whole bolt before it could bite.
