00 brand adapter and my SSD kept ejecting for no reason. This HDD could be used to backup the data that I use on MacBook Pro. It popped up and didn't fail as I transferred 300 gigs in under 5 minutes. Works just fine with my Samsung 860 EVO SSD.

I thought I had lost it all, first. This adapter seems much better at eliminating drive ejections that occur for no reason. Recommended

This cable fits my requirements very well. I've been regularly logging out of my 2018 Mac Mini with an internal SSD and Crucial external 2tb SSD drive and not had it eject yet. Switched to the Startech at 24. The adapter works very well when it connects the 2.

Works perfectly for me as a time machine backup drive to back up my MacBook's entire drive. Never happens with my HDD that I use as a time machine for backups. I like it.

I am using the USB-C to SATA USB 3. The only little quirk about these cables is they are kind of thin and easy to bend and if you bend them too much it seems they have issues (I was having some problems with sustained write speed until I straightened it out).
