You just need really strong arms to prize the hooks off when you decide to move them! The threaded hook can rotate slightly in the magnetic housing, and I doubt mine would not hold the claimed 27kg even if the magnet did. These are small hooks that pack a big punch. I bought these to hang plants from a steel beam in the kitchen.

Searched "strong magnet" so not fall off if knocked, and found these, reviews were good but thought to myself, how strong can a tiny magnet be? None of them have dropped even the one above the patio door has not budged when walking in and out in all weathers. On something made of thicker steel, like a radiator it would probably hold about 4kg.

The media could not be loaded. In order to get the most from these they need to be hanging upside down from a solid iron or steel object. This meant I was not damaging my paintwork.

They were OK when used on walls, but had a tendency to slide down the wall if too much weight was applied - still fine for hats, bags etc. They worked well when stuck to the ceiling and could quite easily take the weight of a dress or trousers etc.

It's a hook in the end of the day, can't review much more, but If you want a strong magnetic hook, this is the product. These magnetic hooks were great to put onto spot lights to hang party pom poms as we couldn't put anything pins etc into ceiling great idea Highly recommended.

Bought this for our recent cruise and I am so so so pleased that I got this one- such strong hold (no problem with my big tote bag with stuff in it). Very strong is the answer to that! As others have said, if you put it on your fridge, it will hold about 1kg before it starts to slide down (and scratch). These are a great idea and I was able to hang Christmas Garland along my kitchen diner window, patio door and ceiling where metal corner beading is situated under the plaster.

All in all, I am really pleased with the quality and price. Took a bit effort to get it off 😅 I would imagine a good rule of thumb is to go for one a couple of tiers up from the one you need - ie I bought the 27kg hook, I reckon it could hold 6kg-8kg per hook (still pretty good) if upside down on a solid steel object. Well.
