The island is an off-the-beat holiday destination, home to a group of 'Permanents', travellers from across the globe who have chosen Koh Sang to be their new home. The vivid descriptions the author created in my mind meant the story and the settings came to life in my head.

The story had a tense build up, I could really feel this at times and then I was met with an explosive ending. Their life changing experience no longer will be for the good, as things begin to spiral out of control. As for the characters the author makes it so you question all their motives and the integrity of them.

This book had me on the edge of my seat until the very last page! I really enjoyed the POVs of the different characters and seeing how it all came together. The writing is so easy and quite short chapters.
