I found that they were very easy to use, with much less drag than other straighteners I’ve used (both GHD and other brands), I’m assuming because of the ‘contoured floating plates’, and can do my whole head of shoulder length hair in about ten minutes flat. My hair even remained clearly straight the next day, and I’ve had several comments at work about how lovely, shiny and styled my hair looks! That said, this styler, is very well presented, comes in a stylish vanity case, lined in velvet and with gold trimmings. All in all, another excellent and more versatile narrower bladed, stylish set in a luxury velvet lined vanity case.

. It looks chic and would suit someone who likes the finer things. GHD conduct scientific studies and have a dedicated lab to test what works best for hair. Any more and you, overtime, damage the follicles causing irreversible damage.

As such, I am happy to answer any more questions you may have before you decide on this product. No fault of theirs, I've often reluctantly handed them over to others over the years, sometimes even, I just don't get them back. The straighteners are nice and compact with wider plates than my old ones, with one scientifically perfect temperature, so no faffing.

There's also a handy silicone heat resistant 'hat' for popping onto your heated plates after you finish styling, reducing the risk of burning your furniture/furnishings. As I, as a consumer, would also want to read good, HONEST reviews for my purchases. So yes it’s expensive, as GHD straighteners are, but they are superb quality and I think really pay for their keep, both in terms of time saved, results and compliments received! I love these new straighteners from GHD and I am surprised to report that they do perform better than my previous very old set.

They have established that 185°C is the optimum temperature to heatstyle hair. Also, this set would be well received as a gift, as the presentation box, vanity case and the straighteners themselves are extremely stylish, anyone would be very pleased to receive them.

The reason for this, I believe is that the ceramic plates can do the hard work and glide your sectioned portions of hair through the blades smoothly without pulling - the gap helps ease the hair through without damaging the heated, more elastic hair. The styler works just as well as my other GHD styler (pic). I really judge the item for it's true worth.
