The replacement threads are available as after prolonged use they naturally break but that’s why it’s so good because the threads are manufactured to a tiny width so you can’t see them. This allows you to set up the snitch to make a Harry Potter costume or display to simulate the snitch flying. However, I should note that the threads are very difficult to manipulate–it is likely you will end up getting them tangled or broken, perhaps why they included eight thread/putty sets. It is a very cool cosplay item for anyone attending such conventions and dressing up.
