Helen Cooper’s book takes us brought the story of Molly, who leaves her toy, the titular ‘hero’ Tatty Ratty on a bus and shows how she imagines he will make his way to safety and eventually back to her. Definitely worth it and thoroughly recommended Another older title (2001) seemingly printed but mine was an ‘original’ - my niece has some developmental issues and has an aging toy to which she is almost fanatically attached so much so that it being lost causes her to become inconsolable, so both she and my own kids found this book quite apposite.
Although not a short book, the story is really engaging and my kids were gripped most certainly. It’s also nicely Illustrated in a more conventional style but that seemed to make more of an impression as well.
