Only needed one, but decide to get the two pack (I usually regret not getting an extra). I bought something that attached to our deck railing, last summer for $200! We spaced the poles further apart than suggested, which made one pole bend inward a little.

Used to hang string lights, does the job. One pole bends very slightly but not enough to warrant a reposition.

Update 7/24/2023: Since our poles are now within the recommended spacing, the cafe lights aren't pulling as hard and no longer pull and slip through the holders. The light pole slides in and out for easy storage during the winter.

Loved that this products opening was extra wide; made it easy to move/adjust light string. I set concrete & pipe into the base of the planters.

These ARE well made and pretty sturdy. I tried to go cheap and only get 4 poles for a 18x25 foot patio.

Nice and strong, easy to install. In other instances when the pole was in the middle of the wire just used black zip ties. Update 7/24/2023: I bought another 2-pack this year and now the poles are all closer together, anywhere from 12' to 15' apart.
