Most of my Barracudas run 24/7, and on average they last for 8 years. 2 Only problem I had was that Windows did not allow me to format it the usual way - I had to do it through CMD but there were no errors. And obviously the anti static wrap.

2 & 500GB NVMe SSD M. I can't beat that customer service experience and safety net. Stiff cardboard with a formed internal cage and minimal wiggle room.

I mention this because I was tempted by a supplier that was slightly cheaper than the official Amazon-supplied drive. Well I couldn't spot any physical damage to the Drive. Defo buy more Seagate drives for storage again.

This is as real world a test as it gets for what I think this drive is OK for - backup, there's some crystaldiskmark scores in other reviews here which can be better.

It is NOISY. I have used Seagate Barracudas for 12 years and found them to be a fantastic all-rounder, having great reliability and lifespan. Works OK otherwise. I was a little concerned about buying a hdd offline due to them being so fragile but the box it came in is perfect hdd is held on Center of the box no movement available for it to slide about or get damaged.

The competition is only slightly better, so likely would have to spend 60% more on another brand for really important stuff. First thing this had thrown at it was a copy (freefilesybc) of roughly 1TB of pictures, videos, documents etc.
