e. Because the handle is removable, I was able to get a rubber grommet into the junction of the Head & Handle of this unit, so the portafilter keeps itself in my tamping block now. Need to crank really hard at first few uses with my new machine or it will leak, works fine once it seat in.

The ear’s angle are slightly different from my Profitec stock portafilter and little thinner. . Definitely not the cheapest option but hit all my criteria: 304 stainless steel, precise machining (see pic), ergonomic handle, and high quality feel. The Anodized Aluminum handle is a testament to the premium quality of Normcore.

In conclusion, this bottomless portafilter is a premium addition to any espresso setup. It makes for very tasty espresso I must say, although with different users it's not very fault-tolerant- I. Its comfortable fit in the hand ensures a pleasant and secure grip, even during extended periods of use. With the Impress, the coffee flow is pretty good!

Bottom line is that it looks great and works perfectly. this would be perfect, if it included from the factory the rubber bumper that is present on many other (breville especially, see image) portafilters, which serve to increase the handle's holding power in a tamping block.
