What I will say is that one of the things I loved most about this book, was the way friendships and family were woven throughout - ultimately ending at a place that reminds us all - that family can be found and made anywhere. Welcome to Mallow Island off the North Carolina Coast where candy sweetness drifts on the breeze. Her way with words just entice you to keep turning the pages…All of her works are amazing, and here, she’s done it again!

Other Birds was well worth the wait. So easy to get lost in Sarah Addison Allen’s books!

It was a long wait for this book! Everyone in the book including the ghosts has a story and a secret and they are woven together in an enchanting novel.
Highly Recommend. I've waited seven years for a new book from Sarah. Other Birds is beautifully written and so touching. While I hope we don't have to wait quite so long for another book by Allen, I will say that this was worth the wait.
I'm not one to write much in the way of details, when I review a book. Full of wonder and magical whimsy! Sarah Addison Allen is one of my favorite writers. And secrets, ghosts, magical birds, and wonderful characters slow-dance through the pages.
She’s done it again! I cried when I finished - which hasn't happened after finishing a book, in quite some time.
