It plugs into either of the USB-C ports and you can get a full charge on the laptop after 90 minutes. The enclosures are very similar but slightly different. It’s not one of the new haptic trackpads.

You trade off a higher read speed for better power efficiency. Neither is the latest standard (WI-FI 7 is here as is Bluetooth 5. Not a deal breaker however as I think the Zenbook screen being touchscreen is a clear win despite the introduction of a very slight grainy texture. Love it

The My ASUS app is crucial for getting the best out of this laptop, whilst keeping you up to date and doesn’t get in the way of anything. I’m not sure if those extras were included with just review units or are simply only available when you order direct from ASUS, or may be a limited-time offer. Got this for Christmas and it is an absolutely beautiful laptop, the OLED screen really stands out, it's also quite lite, affordable, great battery life and the main feature I wanted most in a laptop is the backlit keyboard. I can get 5,000MBs reads from it which is faster than Gen 3, but not the full speed of Gen 4 (7,500MBs).

The backlight is even, with little bleed-through around the keys. I've normally only used Apple MacBooks, Microsoft Surface devices due to the high build quality and high specs and good keyboard/trackpad/displays but given the relatively high price of these nowadays I thought I'd see what else was out there. 0, and have no complaints about its function with the screen.

The included SSD is a Micron 2400 NVMe drive – Gen 4… BUT, not a fast Gen 4 drive. The former is a higher wattage part which results in a lot more heat and battery drain. Many of the design cues have been lifted from prior iterations of the Zenbook, such as the way the ASUS logo is implemented on the lid of the laptop. And it’s worth spending some time going through the power settings and the included My ASUS app to get things just right.

The laptop also has hinges that raise it a bit, which is great! But it’s not going to be upgradable in the future.

The 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM runs in eight channels and is fast – very fast. Hope this helps anyone choosing between the two! Like at first I was confused for why I couldn't bring it up but it was upon my discovery that this particular model of the Asus Zenbook 14 does not have that feature.
