The fan's will unfortunately respond to these blips, it would be ideal if a delay is put in so these quick short bursts in temps can be smoothed over, just like other software like ASUS AI suit. The unit itself is powered via SATA and connects to your motherboard via a internal USB 2. The iCue software is also problematic when using other monitoring type software such as HWInfo, I had to uninstall this in order to detect the fans in iCue - this is a known problem on the Corsair forums so beware! It also comes with temperature sensors (which I opted not to use).

Packaging and Construction********************************Like most corsair gaming peripherals you the item arrives in a black and yellow box with the typical nomenclature. Inside the box you get the unit itself (one hopes), thermo sensors, fan extension cables and LED extension cables. Comes well packaged, as you'd expect from Corsair. Currently running this with my NZXT F140's and some Thermalright TL-C12C-S's, and it's synced them perfectly with some EZ-DIY RGB adapters.
