It lies under the box spring bed topper. You put it all together and plug it in and then plug it into the vibration pad. That's where the neighbors are standing in their bed, I think. This product works brilliantly, its perfect loudness and definitely wakes me up.

The lead is very long so reaches my bed perfectly however I got it mid January and it's now mid march and the lead has broken already so I'm a bit disappointed Not yet familiar with sound, it should have 70 to 105 dB.
