Great buy, but probably wouldn't gift it due to risk of it not being received at 100%. My child is almost 2 and just loves to play with the beads. It’ll last a while and eventually help in teaching her math. We McGuyver'd it, but would have been simpler for it to have come intact.

)My child loves this toy. I thought this would be more interesting to play with because it’s in a rainbow shape, instead of the standard abacus where you move the beads side to side.
This abacus will grow with your toddler because you can switch the boards on the inside to match your child’s ability. Got it as a gift for a 1 y/o and she loves it! (the photo is from today, you can see some toddler wear and tear on it, but not much!
