My PS4 is on a cupboard and is too far away for me to charge the controller from the sofa (without buying a longer cable), and there is no other power outlet nearby. The back of it is the same colour as a glacier white one, only the front shell is silver. Now on to this specific 20th Anniversary Edition, well what a glorious retro looker bit of kit eh! For me, the only drawback is the rather weak battery.

Looks a bit daft in my opinion Received on day of release. I already thought the “20 Years Edition” of the PS4 was pretty cool, and was very happy when a controller in the design of the “PS 1" was announced to the masses.

There are those who will moan about it costing a tenner more than the other colours, in fact they already have thinking about it, but I don't see that as an issue at all. It's almost unanimously considered the most comfortable controller Sony have ever produced, it's extremely responsive and it seems to take a fair bashing pretty well too. There's not really that much you can say about the DualShock 4 that hasn't been said already. As I write this I'm waiting for mine to arrive which has already been dispatched by Amazon, well it is the early hours on release day and I am on the other side of Europe after all so no dramas there.

I've only had it for a short time and can therefore say nothing about the shelf life. Even though the controller is limited and will probably no longer be available at some point, a special controller can still be purchased here relatively inexpensively. The design is great, the controller is well made and feels good in the hand.

I can only say the following about the PS4 controller itself: Some reviewers write about poor workmanship and rapid wear - I haven't been able to tell anything about it so far. “GTA 5", for example, lets the police radio play via a loudspeaker used in the controller & uses the light bar when you are wanted by the police - this is how the light bar flashes happily red-blue back and forth. Fantastic controller, really premium feel. the colour appears to be lighter than that featured, and i question how practical a light grey DPM would be for urban warfare,I didn't bother to read the product description, and it may have been noted, but as a consumer I am slightly disappointed it doesn't come with a micro USB cable.

In “Batman - Arkham Knight”, the loudspeaker is also used very nicely - if you fire a Batarang, the controller makes a very realistic sound. I have this and the 20th anniversary controller.
