I used these screws to put up curtains. There's me telling her how easy and great these fixings are and how they've finally solved my wall fixings nightmare, I'm excited and waxing lyrical about them showing her the bright red wall plugs, the shiny metal sleeves and sturdy screws with a joy I don't think I've experienced since I got a Scalextrix for Christmas in 1977, alas she's just looking at me like I just had intimate relations with her sister! One star short of five as these are definitely expensive but will probably subside in the future.

Used them to hang a 65” TV, heavy IKEA triple wall units, all our curtain poles which have heavy floor to ceiling curtains, kitchen wall units, shelves and wall mounted speaker brackets. Obviously for use on dot and dab walls in a new home and not for stud partitions, but now I’ve found them, I’ve told a lot of people about them!

I've lost count of the number of walls I've damaged and fixings used trying to find something suitable and then these Corefix fixings come along and have me gushing with praise to my wife who of course has no interest whatsoever. These worked where others have failed. Started with small drill bit for plasterboard and then used the drill bit for harder things.

I used an 8mm drill bit first then finished it off with a 10mm drill bit, I found it to be a snug fit with the 10mm drill bit (noting others have found it to become loose). It was easy enough to install and the fixing is solid.

To allow the backs of the shelf brackets to fit flush with the wall it was necessary to "gently" countersink the hole. TWO tips:1. The Task:Would you come and fit three 2000 x 300 x 40mm SOLID OAK shelves in my office extension that has dot & dab plasterboard on block walls?
