I used a bit of velcro to position mine and the back popped off with very little force which exposed the tiny circuit board inside. Also comes with a great app with plenty of options including software updates if and when available. Connects when the car is turned on - connection time is roughly 3-4 seconds after it's woken up. 14/07/23Very easy followed instructions on app didn't install first go used trouble shoot via the app which come up following failure.

Sometimes audio can be a bit jittery for the first couple of minutes but it's not a big issue at all. The big advantage is that I can plug my phone Into my Anker QC3 Quick Charger and my phone actually stays charged. Easy to set up following the guide with plenty of options to tweak in the app. Size is nice and compact - was able to stick it under where the usb ports are with some double sided velcro.

Within 60 seconds of the ignition being turned on, the phone connects to AAWireless and the head unit picks it up and displays on the dashboard. I've had zero disconnection issues and it connects in seconds. Absolutely amazing bit of kit. Vehicle Vauxhall Astra Sri 2018.

As it's streaming over WiFi the music quality seems to sound better too. Easy to follow set up instructions via the app and off you go.

Not had any drop outs during use, only one occasion where it seemed to forget how to connect but after turning off the car and returning later it connected ok. Second go worked seamlessly. Also there is no USB A to USB C converter in the box, nor gel pad like some of the others on the market, so be prepared. Once you have set your phone to open Android auto automatically then it opens up after about 10 seconds and you don't have to press a single button.

I have mounted this in my tray using velcro, something like this included would be nice to stop the unit moving around, but not an issue for the most part Highly recommended! Easy to set-up and install. Instructions on app, a little tricky to get going, but I manually mapped the Bluetooth.

Note that the lead supplied is USB C that goes into the dongle and USB A for the car, so I needed to use my own USB C to USB C lead. I previously had issues with my wired connection as my phone USB C socket is a bit temperamental, hence going for this one.
