I love it! Using it with a Rode PodMic, which according to the specs, is 937g, and it holds it where it's put without any problem.

I bought this when it cost £40 (it's currently £30 for Black Friday) and it's worth that and then some. What I like about this is the base actually rotates so the arm isn’t stuck in one place.

The more premium stands, costing sometimes double this one, don't look markedly more premium to me and I can't imagine that there's any advantages to them, it's unlikely there's a mic out there that they can hold which this can't. The Shure SM7B weighs around 3/4 of this and the Rode Podcaster around 2/3, for context. Quality and finish is far superior to any of my previous microphone booms and well worth spending that bit extra.

Nice look, easy to maneuver and it stays in the position you place it in. I tried 3 boom arms in total to find the perfect one, and this was it! You do need some cable straps for a neat presentation. Just be aware of the possible difficulties you might have in the future.
