Couldn't put it down. The very last chapter also ties in the feud with Alex and M that's been going on and makes it impossible to wait to start the next book.

And the central character, Alex Cross, is basically the super-man we all aspire to look up to. James has a way with words, which is a sign of both an expert writer, and somebody who has been there, and got the t-shirt. What I like most about James Patterson is the way he colours his characters out. And the fact that he is still married (with a son), after all these years, is testimony to this fact.

This book started with practically throwing a suspect at you, only to turn into a "he said/she said" situation and then really turning the tables. Read it within 4 days, and I normally take ages to finish a book, but this was THAT good. Really enjoyed it.

From serial killers (with multiple life sentences), to hot ladies, his books are real page turners.
