If not, when you come back 20 minutes later when the built-in timer has gone off, you’ll realize it was timer-only, no cooking. Beyond compare with conventional ovensCons:- No preheat indicator- The back of the body gets very hot while cooking (Be careful when you remove / reinsert the basket, I once almost burned my fingers)It has two small indicators: one is for the power and another for the timer. I have to wait for office hours and call the manufacturer and do it myself or repack the unit in its fancy box with all the stuff and make time to find a place where I can drive to to return it for free and then wait several days for the new item to come which will most likely have the same less than wonderful little handle that will probably break off the first time I try to take the removable tray out for cleaning. The analog dials are working fine, they look cooler than the digital display to me. Second, I tried a variety of foods to taste test and they all came out just how they do if I were cook them in my oven.

My daughter’s frozen chicken nuggets were how she liked them at restaurants that deep-fry, crispy outside and tender inside. But as a New Yorker in a small apartment, it’s perfect. When trying to remove the bottom tray the metal welded rod that is supposed to be the handle came off in my hand. The basket holds plenty of food.

I love using this instead of the oven for things the kids want heated up or to crisp up leftovers. It does have kind of a big footprint on my kitchen counter, but it's not a big problem. A couple of cons- if you're trying to feed more than 2ppl, the size must be an issue.

Looks great, great packaging, works well! My ikea veggie balls were nicely browned without drying out. It doesn't have a preheat indicator, but technically it reaches 400 F in just 3 to 5 min anyway.
