You can comfortably drink and carry from the narrower cap, even when it's completely full, without having to ever touch the wider body. It also gives you leverage to open and tighten and the cap so there's never any leaks. You can see the bump on the pic I posted.

To avoid any noise you just have to drink more slowly, like you're sipping through a regular straw. It's not much taller than a regular water bottle but is a little wider and holds more water! It's not the most extreme insulation on the market but it's a good compromise with being thinner/lighter which makes it perfect for daily use, filled once or twice throughout the day.
