After no real improvements with disposable dehumidifiers decided to invest in something more powerful. . It's not a 'silent' fan, all fans will make some noise, I found i did not notice it after a few days.

The children have allergies also and have said this dehumidifier has helped which is a plus. Arrived yesterday and after three hours I emptied it, (the amount of water it removed can be seen in the photos). Recommended The media could not be loaded.

I'm really impressed with the amount of water this obtains. And should help to dry any damp washing so on. I would point out the unit is a little on the heavy side, so would not recommend to someone who would struggle carrying this up and down stairs often etc.
