Fixed the leak and painted over with this Cover Stain. It covered all the knots in one coat. They're too cheap to worry about cleaning them!

Fortunately there was a clock near the leak so you can see the change in the photos. I used a foam roller and tray. I just clean paint on the glass Using zinseer stain cover and then this black paint only 500ml, 2 coats were required.

This product was fantastic at covering graffiti and was also easy to paint over. I was sceptical wether this would work but it did.

Very happy 30 minutes later it was dry and ready for the emulsion finish.

Dried in an hour and ready to paint the topcoat. 3 hours and pretty much sorted. It is quite thick but spread further than I thought.

Was expecting 2 coats as it was quite a gruesome stain in my opinion. Only thing I dislike is having to clean utensils in white spirit. I've only used the spray zinsser primer before but I wanted to prime quite a bit of furniture that I was upcycling so I thought I'd try this.

I ended up throwing them out. Two ottermans I was painting is made of solid pine and had a lot of very dark 'knots' in the wood. It went on beautifully. Had a leak in the bathroom which was visible in the kitchen.
