Purchased black tension pole for heavy curtains as we could not get a fix to wall due to soft and crumbling. If has been up an hour, so far and so good. Think il buy more so I can do the same in our main living room- gives the room a luxury hotel vibe! It's pretty loud when opening and pulling.

Only downside is the rubber ends as they kept falling off. I have heavy blackout curtains on mine and there is no sagging yet.

However, it is now clearly hanging out and was not as strong at first. I did not expect solidity like this for an adjustable rod. pleasant surprise.

Otherwise, it is a good alternative if nothing else gets stuck. I bought the pole in March, installed it myself (actually worked quite well) and it has been holding up ever since. . Place the spring end against one wall and push back.

Done. Room width 278 so purchased the 278 to 310? It did need 2 of us as hanging heavy curtain approx 8kg in weight.
