But, that's appropriate for the price bracket, hence a generous four stars. If you're using 1" standard plates, you'll need to take the carabiner off to feed the chain through. I personally like the addition the my home workout.

No, the stitching/finishing is a bit lacklustre (see photos) and the padding is a bit on the thin side. I got this for adding weight to my pull-ups and dips, because my weighted vest can get in the way for these particular exercises (mostly at the end of the range of motion). Does it do the job? But, to each their own.
Is it top of the line? I personally wouldn't use it for lunges, as it feels unwieldy having the weight between the legs for that.
You can attach the carabiners on any link of the chain, making it as long, or as short, as you like. Yes, it does. Everything is what I would call "good enough".
