. OBD II Diagnostic Scanner for VW Audi Skoda Seat. Long story short, this unit was able to reset the code without any problem - which was a great relief as I wasn’t looking forward to shelling out ££ to a VW specialist with VAG-COM VCDS or, worse, having to mortgage my house to visit a VW dealer. (without even reading the manual)On the contrary the Ross-Tech VCDS procedures to reset the service intervals is an involved task on EU cars.

I was a bit cautious when purchasing this device because the spec only mentions "Oil Reset" under the features list, and there are so many devices that over promise and does not deliver at the end of the day or you have to pay to unlock features. With the VD500 it was much more intuitive. It comes in a sturdy plastic casing with a rubber cover to protect it when dropped. This cleared the code and a whole lot of other stuff it can diagnose and clear.

I have used cheap OBD cables in the past with varying success sland don't have a laptop that will run such an antiquated version of Windows that they require. The unit is relatively easy to use, even though the manual is the usual poorly translated English.

I ordered yesterday, delibered next day, within 10 minutes of delivery I have cleared the required fault codes! 5 TDII did a remap and egr delete knowing there would potentially be a fault code that needed to be cleared.

I have had this tool for over a year and it can be very handy. Recommended. I only moved the front seat a few times when the ignition is on and resulted to the airbag ligjt coming on. What I need is a device that could could reset all service timers, this means Long Life oil service and the Inspection due interval.
