For six months she will bring him a rose when she comes to collect his blood. Despite the short length of the book - her character is fully fleshed out as the hyper focused, neurodivergent oldest daughter who feels duty bound to save everyone.

They tend to be so short and quick that you don’t have time to flesh out the characters and things feel a bit rushed. ”🥀“𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮,” 𝐈 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝. While I would have loved a full length novel I thoroughly enjoyed the story and characters. It is based in the Crowns of Nyaxia world but you don’t need to read The Serpent and The Wings of Night to grasp it, it was written to be able to stand on its own.

In Six Scorched Roses we have a FMC who is trying to cure her people that were cursed by their god. I can’t wait for the next book! or blood . I have a feeling that while this book is written to be a standalone in the Nyaxia series that I will be seeing these characters again.
