Functionality is also great; it really does help candles burn evenly — and not just Yankee Candles, I've successfully used Illuma-lids on other candles including ones I've made myself, as long as they rest on top nicely — by both shielding the flame and also by retaining and re-radiating heat from the flame back down to the wax. On the card provided with the lid it states it's suitable for 14. Unfortunately and reluctantly I have to return it, hence the missing star or it would of got a 5 star rating.
