On the negative side, depending on age & dexterity, these can be a little tricky to open in the first instance and a bit stubborn to push closed again for the next time, in my experience! My daughter loves it already. Lift the flaps to find out!

The media could not be loaded. 5 cm x 17 cm, the book is beautifully illustrated throughout, the facial expressions classic Axel Scheffler, conveying a number of emotions that offer scope for further discussion, and, of course, success is guaranteed at the end! Best kids books I’ve bought. She discovers lots of other interesting books on her search to find the perfect one.

The little flaps are great and my son loves visiting the library (although usually to find 'car car' books) so this is a very relatable story. Another classic. In this book Cat wants to bake a cake so visits Acorn library to find the perfect cookbook. Will she find 📚 a book to help her?

He is in P1 now and still reaches for these books for a bedtime story, he has almost memoried the words. As a toddler my son loved to lift the flaps and see what is underneath.
