A book set in Australia was refreshing, a few chapters in and I settled into the voice of Dr Sheldon Cooper narrating the story in my head as Don the brilliant academic with no social skills whatsoever. I was also looking into doing my teacher training, so gaining more awareness into the ASD spectrum was also valuable. Made me belly laugh!

There really are too many to mention other than being very glad Gene, Don's best friend, slips a book into his bag that he needs to swat up on. The comical situations he finds himself in, giving a lecture to children with autism when he is not remotely aware of being on the spectrum himself. I brought this book when it came as recommended reading list from Bill Gates. I laughed throughout the book at the unscheduled events Don has to cope with and the chaos this entails following his light bulb moment concerning The Wife Project, then the subsequent meeting of Rosie.

This was my book club's book choice. There has been a lot of hype about this book, just ignore it and make your own mind up when you read it yourself. Didn't imagine him to read a rom-com book, but none the less it's a light tickle-bone story and and engaging one. The main character will have you laughing and even possibly thinking differently.

I really enjoyed it. A nice summer read.

To office skeletons and cocktails, to the jacket incident and dancing. . The reason I picked this book, is because I wanted some science in it too. Would be a great way to kill time on a flight/train journey :-)
Great book. I have to say if you are reading it yourself or with others, it is such an enjoyable read. a most unsuitable candidate for this position.
