A fantastic read. I absolutely loved Grace's character, how big her heart is and her thoughts on hatred. We understand just how easy it is for someone who is a bit of a loner to become radicalised.

But this is simply outstanding. A genuine must read. Your experience from decades in the police entwined with #ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) knowledge weaved into an exciting narrative, subtly educating people.

Gripping listen. A brilliant “story” with the best characters demonstrating the complexities of terrorism and individuals plus the pressure on the negotiators. Following Nicholas Farmer's arrest, Lee James Connor finds a church hall with 'Refugees Welcome' above the door - the perfect place to carry out his plan. Now I just have to deal with the sunburn!

Time ticks on and Alex Connor tries to "talk him down" whilst Grace is doing the same inside. I did not want to put this book down for a second. I read it in one enjoyable day Oh @policecommander you really have done it.

Empathy for the terrorist? I finally got the opportunity to make a start on this book on a sunny day on the beach, and finished it in one sitting.
