What the cameras saw was a group rusty at performing live, in a cold and cavernous set with early morning starts, far removed from their normal working practices. Can't think of anything negative to say about it Long out of print because it portrays the sessions as a completely miserable experience, albeit capped off by the joyous and iconic rooftop concert; what you have here is nothing short of a revelation into the working practices of The Beatles. However, now having this set on three discs is fantastic & (as I’ve said already) the sound & picture quality is amazing, especially when one considers the rather dark & poor quality of the original Let it Be movie (which I have on a bootleg DVD!

)All told, I’m over the moon with this & I'm looking forward to spending some of the rest of my holiday watching this glorious documentary, a documentary showing (without a shadow of a doubt) the very BEST rock group ever to record music. Covid has really benefited this film because Jackson basically had nothing better to do with new production on hold and so he dug into the footage, spending months going painstakingly through everything available to piece together a new story – one of friendship. That latter comes to even greater heights with multi camera angles getting you right into the action. This is initially announced as Blu-ray™ only, and just the three part TV Series with zero extras.
