Her imagination is stupendous and her gift for creating relationships which seem almost unbearably real is even more evident than in Filigree Street or Pepper Harrow. Highly recommended, as you've probably already deduced.

I found myself turning back to the very beginning as soon as I had wolfed it down first time, in order to enjoy the lucid prose and fine details, to notice the nuances of character and clever plotting. A classic.

I love conspiracy theories and mysteries and The Kingdoms from Natasha Pulley incorporates the intriguing mystery of the Eilean Mor lighthouse in the Outer Hebrides and the disappearance of its lighthouse keepers into her narrative. There is even more to dive into and revel in.

Even after finishing it a second time, I am remarkably reluctant to leave the world Ms Pulley has woven so beautifully. I enjoyed Natasha Pulley's earlier books but this is in a different league. This is a sublime book.

Another great must read book for 2021 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of five. 2021 continues to be a mega year for great books and The kingdoms is no exception. So stick with it – the complexity is part of the books charm.
