I haven’t programmed it to come on at certain times yet. It sits on our dining table most of the time, from where it is great on first level when we’re eating, reading papers etc. - The IR receiver oscillates with the whole fan so you have to wait until it spins back towards you before the controller works again.

Our lounge diner is approx 23’ x 12’ and on heigh setting this fan benefits from one end to the other. I decided on this fan after researching portable air conditioners, evaporators and tower fans because it seemed to fulfil what I needed: efficiency(12settings), portability(means I can take upstairs or out to my art room easily), eco setting adjusts setting to the surrounding temp, an oscillator(horizontal and vertical movement) and remote control. When turned on, the fan automatically changes the fan speed depending on the current temperature of the room so the hotter it is, the faster the fan speed. .
