But it does give food for thought. There's limited discussion of children with real behavioural problems, and it's very middle class, so perhaps doesn't consider parenting in difficult financial circumstances.

There's a lot to like in this book in terms of general guidelines and practical tips. Sometimes it tips over into silliness - real life doesn't allow for constant discussions with your toddler, sometimes they just have to do what you need them to do.
