Easy to read. The things you don't see or hear about, the troubles that staff have to face almost daily. The book is very easy to read.

So I was quite familiar with the context and routines already. Governor Frake has devoted the best years of her life to ensure we ordinary citizens live in peace and safety.

My own extended family forms a generation of prison wardens and staff. I think it is carried over from their parents via DNA.
This was a fascinating and interesting read. On top of that she is non-judgemental and compasionate.
