Since this isn't a traditional set-up I needed something very specific to make this work as I need it to extend to about 24"+. I was worried about the weight of the arm and the wall fixings. The problem with keyboard tray not tilting down I solved with a small washer between the pivot and mounting plate for the tray.

I did slight damage to the metal mount but there are facings supplied to cover the screws. My walls (brick) aren't the best but the fixings supplied are massive (2x 80mm, M8) . Watch when you lift the keyboard off the tray! I bought this because I have a large U-shaped custom countertop I put together for my gaming area.

Works great so far. It does seem to be quite expensive (£195 at this time) but i would not hesitate in recommending this item. I used a drill fitting but there wasn't enough torque so i ended up twisting the drill round. I bought for home use but this is seriously professional kit.
The arm completes my system. The pressure in the arm can be adjusted to release slower or faster as desired and can move +/- 150mm apr. about 8" back form the edge of the countertop. up/down.
I needed something for my keyboard to easily be brought out from below the countertop and go back under when not in use. I installed this 2 days ago and i can't stop marvelling at how well it works.
Wow, what a piece of engineering! . The keyboard tray can be tilted to prevent RSI also.
