It just sounds all the same. ' Nothing will ever compete with them and to be fair, very few albums from any bands would be able to compete either.

James Hetfield's singing is brilliant on this album, (I'd say probably the best hes ever sounded), even credit to Lars, he sounds on point, Kirk sounds like Kirk and there's nothing wrong with that. This is their best material since Load in my opinion and I think the closing track, Innamorata, is one of their best songs. The media could not be loaded.

Not even once! But for many bands this would easily be their best, but this is Metallica and they have a catalogue that is legendary. In the Metallica pecking order, its definitely the best album they have done since the black album, I absolutely love load, but is this better? Lovely 65th birthday present, a back to basics metal album, been a fan since the beginning, this record is fabulous, really nice pressing brilliantly produced.

This is an album to enjoy as a complete package, this is an album to listen when you kick back with a beer and appreciate the brilliance of musicians that are around 60 year old and putting bands that are literally 30-40 years younger to shame. Not many people would agree with me but I also rate this better than Justice (which apart from two songs i'm not a fan). Not even close.

It's not as good as Hardwired. I love Hardwired to self destruct but this is better no question due to the albums consistancy.

LotsMETALLICA HAVE REMINDED THE WORLD WHY THEY ARE THE GREATEST METAL BAND OF ALL TIME. With this album I would say it sits in terms of musical style of the load/hardwired with some lovely thrash thrown in as well. Kill em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and the self titled 'black album. .
